Head of the Technology Department of the Severstal Steel Solutions Group of Companies Roman Aldushkin
Since 2018, the group has significantly expanded its activities, focusing on the industrial sector and oil and gas projects. Currently, Roman Vladimirovich oversees projects involving such customers as GL-Stroy, CC7 and SGS. Thanks to his extensive experience working with KMD documentation and understanding of customer requirements, he can offer effective methods for telegram in philippines improving document flow processes.

The main stages of interaction between KMD developers and the customer and partners
The first topic of discussion was the main stages of the process of interaction between KMD developers and the customer and partners. Valery Mokhov spoke about it in more detail, highlighting three stages:
Transfer of source data
In large projects, many customers have their own software platforms and databases that they use to exchange documentation with contractors. However, there are also reverse situations, for example, in the EuroChem company, where there is no single source and the transfer of initial data to the contractor for the development of KMD becomes a particularly important stage.
Transfer of completed works
The contractors send the developed documentation to the customer for verification and approval. It is important that the software used at this stage can perform not only accounting functions, but also act as a file storage.
Working with revisions and 3D models
The ability to review the 3D model and drawings together simplifies the design review at the documentation approval stage. During this process, difficulties may arise due to the lack of licenses for some foreign software, such as Tekla, which forces companies to look for alternatives.
“Therefore, now the MasterFab product could make the situation a little easier for customers by allowing them to view these 3D models on their resource,” added Valery Mokhov.
Peculiarities of working with factories
Some plants have their own design departments, but there are cases when third-party companies are involved in certain stages of development. For example, an enterprise can order the development of only a 3D model, leaving the drawings for internal development, explained Klimentiy Serebrennikov. He identified the following main difficulties in the interaction of plants with KMD contractors:
Difference in methodologies
One of the basic tasks in developing documentation is determining the mass of products and parts. Despite the importance of this parameter, the methods for calculating it are not regulated anywhere and often cause difficulties in coordination.
“I have not found a sufficiently good description of the methodology even in the procedural documents of EPC contractors,” the expert admitted.
Production and technological documentation
Developers should strive to produce production-friendly documentation, as well as a BIM model with additional information that cannot be shown on the drawings.
After all, the key idea of information modeling is that the model should reflect not only the external appearance of the structure, but also its functional characteristics, such as paint and fire protection parameters. Factories expect that all such information will be supplied with the KMD kit.
